Detailed Solution

The 1931 session of the Indian National Congress was held in Karachi.
During its session in Karachi in 1931, the Indian National Congress unanimously approved what came to be known as the Karachi Resolution. The session was held, although three significant events were coinciding. First, Mahatma Gandhi had just been freed from prison after serving time for his participation in the Salt Satyagraha. Second, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel presided over the Karachi Congress Session, which lasted from March 26 to March 31, 1931. Third, in a special session of the Indian National Congress, Mahatma Gandhi was chosen to represent the Indian National Congress in the Second Round Table Conference (London).
