Which zone of a flame does a goldsmith use for melting gold and silver

$\to$ It is the hottest part of the flame and blue in colour

$\to$ Complete combustion takes place due to good supply of oxygen.

Since Au & Ag possess high melting point. Due to this goldsmith uses outer zone.
