Rowlatt's act was known as the Black act. Indians were outraged by the Rowlatt Act. It was imposed in March 1919 by the British administrator. Rowlatt Act empowers the British government to arrest and imprison suspects without trial. Under the Rowlatt act, many revolutionaries got arrested and detained without any explanation. The Rowlatt act was the reason for the biggest massacre, the Jallianwala Bagh massacre because more than 16000 people were gathered at this bagh to oppose the Rowlatt act.
