Detailed Solution

Ravikirti, Banabhatta, and Xuan Zang all wrote about Harshavardhana. Harshavardhana ruled from 606 to 647 CE, almost 1400 years ago, in the northern part of India. He hailed from the Vardhana dynasty. He successfully captured the kingdoms of Magadha, Kanauj, and Bengal. He was the poet at the court of Harshavardhana. For this, he received great patronage from the king, who persuaded him to write favourable things about him in his work. Banabhatta wrote “Harshacharita” in the Sanskrit language, a biography of Harshavardhana. This work described the kingdom’s natural environment and other works of agriculture and industry, which displayed the life of the subjects.
