Detailed Solution

Gandhiji wrote a letter to Lord Irwin on 31 January 1930.
Salt March was a significant peaceful dissent activity in India driven by Mahatma Gandhi in March-April 1930. The march was the primary demonstration of a much bigger mission of typical defiance or Satyagraha. Gandhi was against the British policy that was initiated in mid-1931 in India. Thus the Indian people gathered Gandhi’s boundless help to revolt against the colonial powers. On 31 January 1930, Gandhiji sent a letter to Viceroy Irwin expressing eleven requests. However, some of these demands were of general interest. Meanwhile, others were explicit requests of various classes, from industrialists to workers.
