Both groups A and B are called the dobereiner's triad.
Döbereiner’s Triads are groups consisting of three elements (triads) that have similar chemical and physical properties. In every triad, the atomic weight of the middle element was half of the sum of the atomic weight of the other two elements. Properties of the middle element were also in the halfway of both the elements.  Now, we will see whether the atomic mass of the middle element is average of the other two elements of the triads in the groups which are given to us.
Consider group A,
Atomic mass of Si=Atomic mass of Na+Atomic mass of Cl2
 Atomic mass of Si= 23+35.52
Atomic mass of Si= 58.52
Atomic mass of Si=29.25
Theoretical Atomic mass of Si=28
As the calculated atomic mass is close to the theoretical atomic mass of Si, group A can form a Döbereiner’s Triad.
Similarly, now consider group B,
Atomic mass of Mg=Atomic mass of Be+Atomic mass of Ca2
 Atomic mass of Mg= 9+402
Atomic mass of Mg= 492
Atomic mass of Mg=24.5
Theoretical Atomic mass of Mg=24
As the calculated atomic mass is close to the theoretical atomic mass of Mg, group B can form a Döbereiner’s Triad.
