Detailed Solution

The role of the public prosecutor is to represent the interests of the state.
There are many functions of the criminal justice system. And those are done by different people like police, public prosecutor, judge, and so on. The public prosecutor is a lawyer who will represent the state in court. He/she has no role in investigating the case. The public prosecutor is expected to act impartially in court. He/she should present full material facts, witnesses, and evidence before the court to help the court take a judicious decision. The defence lawyer comes opposite the public prosecutor. The defence lawyer does not represent the state. The judge plays the role of giving a judgement, and it is his/her responsibility to conduct a fair trial.
