Iron is not used for making light bulbs. The first that is used for the manufacturing of light bulbs is copper. The next is tungsten, tungsten is used for making filament of the bulb and lastly aluminium, which helps in maintaining the heat inside the bulb or else gases present in the bulb can collide and can break the bulb.
