Sugarcane is not an example of millets. Other than this, jowar, bajra and ragi are fine examples of millets. Millets are coarse grain and are usually grown and used by rural people. Millets are highly nutritious and hence these are also used in making bread, cereal, etc. Due to its high concentration of nutrition, it is now even used by the urban people as well, although the population is less as compared to the rural one.
