Which are the types of teeth?

The tooth is an organ that helps to cut the solid food we consume into smaller bits. This breaking down of food makes it easier for the digestion process, which is why the oral cavity is the first step in the digestion process. There are four types of teeth, incisors, canines, molars, and premolars, each having different functions. Incisors, the front tooth, help to cut food, while the canines on either side help to tear food. Molars and premolars on the back aid with the crushing and grinding of food. The entire process converts the solid food to a semi-solid form before it gets swallowed.
