Detailed Solution

The main processes involved in tissue culture are:

  1. Selection of explant – Choosing a small piece of plant tissue (like leaf, stem, or root).
  2. Sterilization – Cleaning explant and equipment to remove microorganisms.
  3. Preparation of nutrient medium – A culture medium (with minerals, vitamins, hormones, and sucrose) is prepared.
  4. Inoculation – Placing the sterilized explant onto the nutrient medium under aseptic conditions.
  5. Incubation – Keeping the culture under controlled light, temperature, and humidity for growth.
  6. Regeneration – Cells divide and differentiate to form callus, shoots, and roots.
  7. Hardening and transfer – Plantlets are gradually adapted to natural conditions and transferred to soil.
