Detailed Solution

According to Article 17 of the Indian Constitution, untouchability has been abolished.
This means that no one can subsequently prevent untouchables or Dalits from educating themselves, prevent them from entering temples or prevent them from using public toilets or any other facilities. It also means that it is wrong to practice untouchability, and a democratic government will not tolerate such practices. As per law, untouchability is a punishable crime now.
