Which birds regularly graze on grass?

While many birds eat grass seeds, a few notable species are true grazers that primarily consume the leaves and stems of grass, often forming large flocks to feed in open fields.

The most common examples of grass-grazing birds include:

• Geese: Species like Canada Geese and Greylag Geese are perhaps the most famous avian grazers. They have serrated edges on their beaks to help them tear grass, and they can often be seen in parks, fields, and golf courses.
