Detailed Solution

Madurai was Pandyas's capital.
Because of its location, the kingdom was prosperous and wealthy. The rulers, who were originally Jains and converted to Shaivism, were known as Jatavarman or Maravarman. They were in their heyday from the sixth to the tenth century and again in the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries, but Greek writings only mention them from the fourth to the third century. According to Kautilya's Arthashastra, Madurai served as the Pandyan dynasty's capital city until the 14th century.
