        Therefore, the 97th Amendment Act of 2011 inserted the word "cooperative" to the constitution in order to promote cooperative economic activities that advance rural India.
        The freedom to establish cooperative societies is a fundamental right since the phrase "cooperative societies" was added to Article 19(1). Part IV of the Constitution was amended by Act 43-B, which included a new directive principle of state policy (DPSP) on the promotion of cooperative societies.
