Detailed Solution

China is the first country in the world to launch a deep-sea radar system. This new technology, developed by Chinese scientists, is an acoustic sensor array placed on the seabed at a depth of around 1,000 metres. Its main feature is the ability to detect and track high-altitude aircraft, including planes flying at 5,000 metres above sea level.

This seabed radar works by sending and receiving sound signals underwater, making it different from traditional air-based radar systems. It adds a new layer of surveillance to China’s growing intelligence and defense network.

China already has a strong satellite network for tracking global aircraft, even stealth planes like the US F-22 fighter jets. With this new deep-sea radar, China could significantly improve its military monitoring, especially in naval warfare and airspace tracking.
