Detailed Solution

The Vijaynagara empire was built on the Tungabhadra river. Between 1336 and 1565 CE, the imperial Hindu Vijayanagara Empire was in power, and during this time, the renowned architectural style known as Vijayanagara architecture was created. The empire ruled South India from its regal capital at Vijayanagara, situated on the banks of the Tungabhadra River in modern-day Karnataka, India. The temples were built in that period using strong granite rocks. Giant enclosures, tall towers, sizable marriage halls, gathering halls, and spring pavilions were some of the distinguishing features.
