Detailed Solution

The Third Estate, consisting of ordinary people like- peasants, artisans, landless labourers, and servants, paid taxes to the church. The First Estate (The Clergy) enjoyed privileges by birth. The most significant of these privileges was the exemption from paying taxes to the state; rather, they extracted taxes from the Third Estate.
The Second Estate (The Nobility) enjoyed feudal privileges from birth, including feudal dues extracted from the peasants. They were exempted from paying taxes as well.
