The Club of Thinkers was an anonymous caricature dating to c. 1820. This caricature shows the situation in Europe through the cartoon characters. Straightforwardly, it put a finger on the political scenario of Europe. After the treaty of Vienna in 1815, the conservative regime was established, and from any corner, they didn't tolerate criticism and dissent. Whoever questioned the rightfulness of autocratic rulers went in search of them. They imposed censorship laws on the free expression of newspapers, writings in books, and ideas in plays and songs to control the ideas of freedom and liberty that came from the French revolution. In that, the caricature shows that the club of thinkers is prohibited from using their right of freedom of speech. It was a political rule that forbade independent public thinking in the name of preserving traditional practices and institutions.
