Detailed Solution

The group of Rich men did not join the Jacobin club.
The majority of the Jacobin club's members came from social classes that were less affluent. They comprised proprietors of small businesses, artisans like bakers, watchmakers, shoemakers, servants, and others earning a living daily. Maximilian Robespierre was the group's leader. The Jacobins decided to start donning long, striped pants resembling those worn by dock workers. They did so to distinguish themselves from the fashionable social classes, particularly the nobles who wore knee breeches. It served as a sign that the power held by those who wore knee breeches had ended. These Jacobins were called the sans-culottes, French for "those without knee breeches." Men in Sansculottes also donned red caps, which stood for liberty.
