Detailed Solution

The Treaty of Versailles was signed after the First World War between Germany and the Allies.
The Treaty of Versailles was a peace document signed between Germany and the Allied Power on 28th June 1919. However, this treaty ended the state of war between Germany and the Allied powers. According to the Treaty of Versailles, Germany was forced to pay the compensation amount of six billion pounds. The Allied Powers had compelled Germany to accept the guilt of all the losses that happened because of them. In addition, Germany had to surrender all the colonies occupied during the war. Poznania, parts of East Prussia, and Upper Silesia were given to Poland. Thus demilitarisation took place over the occupied land.
