Detailed Solution

Gandhiji withdrew from the Non-Cooperation movement after the Chauri Chaura incident. The Non-Cooperation Movement was formally launched by the Indian National Congress (INC), under the direction of Mahatma Gandhi, on September 5, 1920. The Jallianwala Bagh Massacre was the impetus behind the founding of the Non-Cooperation Movement, but it was withdrawn in the wake of the Chauri Chaura disaster in 1922. The non-cooperation campaign signalled a turning point in the independence process since the INC was now prepared to forsake constitutional safeguards to achieve self-rule.
