Detailed Solution

An ammeter is the instrument which is used to measure electric current in the circuit.
An ammeter is an instrument used to find the electric current in the circuit. Its resistance is relatively low, resulting in minimal voltage drop across the instrument. Due to this reason, it is always connected in series. The positive terminal of the ammeter is  connected to the battery positive terminal, and the negative terminal of the ammeter is connected to the battery negative terminal.
