The atmospheric pressure at Mumbai is high when compared to the atmospheric pressure on the top of Mt Everest.
 Atmospheric pressure:
The atmospheric pressure at a point is defined as the force acting normally on a unit area around a point, due to the total height of the air column of the atmosphere above it.
The pressure declines as we move higher up above the earth's surface because the gravitational force that is acting on the air molecules at greater altitude is less. Therefore the atmospheric pressure is higher at the surface of the Earth and lower as we move upwards.
Mount Everest being at a very high peak the pressure will be lower as compared to that of Mumbai.
