Detailed Solution

A-band had both thick and thin filaments. So the overlap zone is in A-band (not I-band).

Sarcomere is formed by one complete A-band and two halves of I-bands.

‘A’ band are held together in the middle by a thin fibrous membrane called ‘M’ line.

The thin filaments are firmly attached to the ‘Z’ line. So, the Z-lines are the ends of each sarcomere.
