Oceans are not a resource of fresh water; freshwater is a major source of drinking water available in very low amounts all over the Earth. 97% of the Earth’s water is found in Ocean water which is salty and not fresh. In contrast, only 3% of the Earth’s water is fresh in this part 2% is covered by Glaciers, Polar ice caps lonely after all this Earth has 0.62% Groundwater, 0.009% freshwater lakes, 0.008% is rivers cover inland seas and 0.0001% only. Overall, Earth is surrounded by 71% of water only and in which freshwater is very less in amount. Groundwater is the main contributor to drinking water.
