Detailed Solution

There is no such language in India which is considered the National Language. Hindi and English are both India's official languages since the Constitution's commencement. They are used in all official documents and for all official purposes. At times, the English language is used more prominently in the works of the centre. Yet, none of it or any other has the status of being India’s national language. Though, the respective states have their state languages which are their official languages. For example, UP has Hindi and Urdu as its state languages. There are 22 scheduled languages mentioned in the Schedule VIII of the Indian Constitution.
