Detailed Solution

Rakhigarhi is the most extensive Harappan site in India.
The archaeological excavations revealed the mature Harappan phase, which was represented by a planned township with mud-brick and burnt-brick houses and a proper drainage system. An important finding from this site is a cylindrical seal with 5 Harappan characters on one side and an alligator symbol on the other. The ceramic industry was represented by red ware, which included items such as dish-on-stand, vases, and perforated jars. The excavations have yielded a few extended burials that almost certainly date from the late medieval period.
