Detailed Solution

Chilika Lake is the largest saltwater lake in India. It is a five-thousand-year-old lake. It is a brackish water lagoon that covers the Odisha state districts of Puri, Khurda, and Ganjam on India's east coast. It is situated at the mouth of the Daya river, south of the Mahanadi delta, that flows into the Bay of Bengal. It is the largest protection and shelter ground for migratory birds on the Indian sub-continent during the winter.
