Detailed Solution

There are two isomeric forms of molecular hydrogen:

(1) Ortho hydrogen: Both nuclei's spins are oriented in the same direction, clockwise or anticlockwise.
(2) para hydrogen: Both nuclei's spins are in the opposite direction, therefore if one nuclei's spin is clockwise, the other nuclei's spin is anti-clockwise, and vice versa.

At 20 K, a para isomeric form of hydrogen prevails with 99.8% whereas, at room temperature, only 25% of the para isomer exits with the remaining 75% ortho hydrogen.
