Detailed Solution

The dynasties of Gurara-Pratihara, Plas and Rashtrakutas fought to gain control over the north Indian region during the early medieval period. Numerous dynasties began to flourish in the subcontinent after the seventh century. The Rashtrakutas, the Palas, and the Gurjara-Pratihara were three of the most well-known dynasties. Ultimately, these three strong kingdoms fought each other over the dominance of the subcontinent's northern area. Because Kannauj was situated on the trade route connecting the region to the Silk Road, the conflict between the kingdoms of Pratiharas, Palas, and Rashtrakutas to control the region's north, in particular, has been understood as the tripartite conflict that took place in the ninth century and in which the Pratiharas gradually prevailed.
