Detailed Solution

It is the first law of motion that define force.
According to Newton's first law, "if a body is at rest, it will remain at rest, and if it is in uniform motion, it will continue in uniform motion until an external force is applied to it."
It explained that everybody has a natural tendency to resist changes in their state of rest or uniform motion. So, according to Newton's first law, "Force is an external factor that can change an object's state of rest or state of uniform motion."
