Subjects like computer software are included in the Residuary List.
The constitution provides 3 lists i.e the Union, the state and the concurrent list with different subjects under the jurisdiction of the centre, the state, and both centre and state respectively. The centre has the power to legislate on issues present in the union list, the states have the power to legislate on subjects mentioned in the state list.
