Concept- A metal corrodes when it reacts with oxygen in the presence of moisture. During corrosion, an oxide layer is formed above the metal.
A more reactive metal corrodes more easily. There are certain metals that resist oxidation and corrosion in the presence of moist air. These metals are also unreactive with acid.
