Gandhi used Satyagraha to fight the racist regime in South Africa. He believed that this method was a noble method of mass agitation. Gandhi moved to South Africa as a lawyer. He stayed there for twenty-one years, developing his political views, politics, and ethics. Mahatma Gandhi faced discrimination because of his skin colour and heritage, as all people of colour face. While travelling on buses or trains, he refused to sit with European passengers and was thrown off the train to sit in first class. Facing all this discrimination, he decided to protest for his rights and gain some respect.
