Which method is used to separate blank ink's mixture of dye and water?

When one of the components of a mixture is volatile, then such mixtures are separated by the method of evaporation. In the case of blank ink's mixture of dye and water, water is volatile. To separate the mixture, it is taken in a watch glass, and this watch glass is kept over the mouth of a beaker containing water. Then this water is heated, this heating process also heats the ink and this leads to the removal of water from the ink leaving behind the dye.
