Which method is used to separate soluble impurities from the water?

Soluble impurities are those impurities that get dissolved in the water. Salt is an example of soluble impurities. Evaporation is a method to remove soluble impurities from water. On heating, water from the solution gets evaporated and solids remain. Filtration and sedimentation are methods of removing insoluble impurities which do not get dissolved in the water. Sand is an example of insoluble impurities.
