Evaporation should be used to get only the pure solid from its solution in water.
A pure solid can be obtained from its solution using the method of evaporation. The conversion of water into water vapour on heating is known as evaporation. This method converts the water into its vapour, leaving the pure solid behind.  For example, salt can be obtained from the salt solution by method of evaporation. When the salt solution is heated, the water evaporates, leaving the salt behind as residue.
