Detailed Solution

Small metals were used by the traditional printing press. In a conventional printing press, moveable type—small metal pieces with raised reversed letters—is set in a frame, inked, and then applied to a sheet of paper. It's a printed page if you take away the paper. When you do this with all the pages of a book, a printed copy is the result. Repeat this several times, and soon mass-produced, printed books appear. It is often believed that Gutenberg invented the printing press in Mainz, Germany, in the year 1440 AD. The printing of the Bible in the 1450s marked the beginning of the printing press's spread throughout Europe. In fact, books existed in Europe long before then, but they were solely available to the clergy and only in hand-copied volumes. As literacy increased, it transformed Europe in the late 1400s and altered politics, religion, and lifestyles all around the world.
