Detailed Solution

The Swadeshi movement commenced after the Partition of Bengal. This movement sought to subvert British rule by encouraging self-help, swadeshi enterprise, national education, and the usage of Indian languages. Significant movement leaders included Surendra Nath Banerjee, Bipin Chandra Pal, and Bal Gangadhar Tilak. Nationalist periodicals and public events urged people to shun imports and foreign services. Foreign apparel was burned in many regions of the country. To support Swaraj, the revolutionaries supported widespread mobilisation and a boycott of British organisations and goods. In addition, some individuals began to support "revolutionary violence" as a strategy for removing the British from power.
