Which object is used to measure the temperature?

We use a thermometer to measure temperature. There are two types of thermometers, laboratory, and Digital. In the laboratory thermometer, there is an element called mercury, through which we find out the temperature. And digital thermometer is used in homes, it does not contain any kind of mercury. There are a few common scales in thermometers such as the Kelvin scale, absolute scale, and Celsius scale.
