Detailed Solution

During ventricular systole, ‘lub’ sound is produced due to the closure of atrioventricular valves. QRS complex represents ventricular depolarisation. Ventricular systole begins shortly after the Q wave. R wave and S wave coincide with ventricular systole. The contraction of the ventricles pumps blood into the aorta and pulmonary trunk (ventricular ejection).

‘Dub sound’ is produced during joint diastole.

The p wave represents atrial depolarisation. It is produced at the end of joint diastole.
