Dynastic Succession is the problem faced by political parties. The leaders on top have unfair and undue advantages and power. They favour the people close to them or those who are a part of the family. This problem is seen in India and worldwide, even in older democracies. Another challenge faced by the parties is the lack of internal democracy. Power is not evenly distributed in political parties but is concentrated in a few hands on the top. There are no organisational meetings and no regular internal elections. The ordinary members cannot access information and cannot influence decisions. During elections, money and muscle power influence the parties' policies. There is also no meaningful choice for the voters these days; they have to choose between the lesser of the two bad options, making them lose interest in democracy.
