The political parties are becoming problematic because of the lack of internal democracy in the parties and the nepotism in the leadership of the parties. There is a lack of internal elections, no formal meetings to discuss party agendas, and the leaders and their family members continue to rule the parties. The party leaders enjoy an unfair advantage and control over the party, and the ordinary members find it difficult even to get aware of proper information, agendas, and policy decisions of the party which often leads to defection and factions within the party or even causes splits in the party. The concentration of power in the hands of one or few and the lack of meetings, sessions, and engaging discussions with the party members lead to inefficiency at the end of political parties.
