Detailed Solution

Gulamagiri was a book that reflects the plight of the lower castes and the poor in India.
The Maratha pioneer of low-cost protest movements, Jyotiba Phule, wrote about the injustice of the caste system in his book ‘Gulamgiri’ in the 20th century. At the beginning of the 19th century, many issues of caste discrimination began to be written about in many printed essays and journals. BR Ambedkar in Maharashtra and EV Ramaswamy Nayakar in Madras, better known as ‘Periyar’, also wrote powerfully on the caste system, and their writings were read by many people all over India. Thus many local protests happened because of his writings, and many cast-printed popular journals emerged, criticising the ancient scriptures and envisioning a new and just future.
