An Indian poet, guru, yogi, and philosopher by the name of Aurobindo Ghose. Bengal was divided in 1905 by Viceroy of India Lord Curzon, prompting a public outcry against the British. Aurobindo Ghosh also conducted a nationalist effort at this time on behalf of a group of revolutionaries, and he joined the Indian National Movement. Additionally, he was detained in 1908 on suspicion of preparing to murder Kingsford, a magistrate, but was freed on May 6, 1909.
