Detailed Solution

Cotton is obtained from balls of flowers.
There are two classes of fibres: synthetic and natural fibres. Natural fibres are those fibres which are obtained from plant products or plant parts such as stems, roots, fruits etc. Cotton is obtained from cotton balls and is extracted as fibres. Cotton is a natural fibre, the production of which involves four main steps: harvesting, ginning, spinning and weaving. Silk is obtained from the silk moth cocoons. Cocoons are produced at a particular stage of the life cycle of a moth or silkworm. Wool is obtained from animals such as goats and sheep. Jute is obtained from the bark of jute plants.
