Detailed Solution

Concept: Water pollution is a kind of environmental pollution.
Waste produced by households is referred to as household waste, domestic waste, or residential waste. Both hazardous and non-hazardous trash might be included in this category. Food scraps, paper, bottles, and other items that can be recycled or composted can be considered waste. Domestic garbage primarily consists of kitchen scraps, vegetable peels, and household dust.
Dead animals that are buried alive run the risk of contaminating nearby groundwater with nitrogen species and dissolved organic debris. Animal decomposition has the potential to contaminate the soil.
Oil spills are categorised as a form of man-made pollution since they include the unintentional discharge of a liquid petroleum hydrocarbon into the environment, particularly the marine ecosystem. Oil spills can also occur on land. The sources of large oil spills are factories and industrial waste. Marine life is at risk from the fumes retained in oil as a result of incomplete combustion because it reduces the amount of oxygen in water bodies.
Many deadly and toxic chemicals, including carbon monoxide, nitrogen, and others, are released into the air by the forest fire ashes. According to the species, type, and portion of the burnt fuel that was consumed, ash contains significant levels of heavy metal. Following a fire, the heavy metals released from the ash can contaminate the land and water supplies.
Domestic garbage and oil spills are thus examples of man-made water pollution sources, whereas the other two, dead animals and ashes, are examples of natural polluting bodies.
Hence, the correct answers are options 1 and 3.
