Detailed Solution

Metal workers were regarded as aristocrats among workers.
The social class of workers was separated. Some had close ties to the villages they came from. Others had made cities their permanent residences. By skill, workers were divided. Metalworkers were the group that was thought of as aristocrats. Their jobs required more education and expertise. Workplace divisions were also evident in how people behaved and dressed. Workers created a few associations to aid their fellow members during unemployment or financial difficulty. Employees who disagree with bosses over terminations or working conditions band together to strike (stop working). These strikes were widespread in the metal sector in 1902 and the textile industry from 1896–1997.
