Detailed Solution

All the above are examples of a chemical change.  A physical change is a change in which a new substance is not formed. Physical changes are generally reversible, but sometimes irreversible. A chemical change is a change in which a new substance is created by a chemical reaction. Burning candles, digesting food, and cooking food are chemical changes. It is a chemical change that burns candles. After burning, wax is produced and CO2 is released, so the wax cannot be returned to the candle. Food digestion is a chemical change. This is because during digestion, new substances that cannot be converted to food , are formed. Similarly, cooking of food is chemical change because cooked ingredients cannot be converted back to their original ingredients.
